Making a will enables you to decide who benefits from your estate following your death, it ensures that you are in control of what happens to your assets on your death. If you do not have a will, the law will dictate who benefits from your estate. More often than not, the persons who will benefit are not those whom you would choose.

Making a will or reviewing your will is particularly important in the following circumstances:-

  • If you are living with someone but not married
  • If you have married since the making of your last will
  • If you have children from a previous relationship/marriage who you wish to benefit.
  • If there are family members who you wish to ensure are not able to benefit for whatever reason.
  • If you have children under the age of 18
  • If you have foreign property
