Jacquie Birkett
Jacquie was awarded the Law Society prize for outstanding performance in her final law exams going on to qualify as a solicitor in 2004 and has practised exclusively in family law since that date.
Jacquie is a member of the Law Society Family Panel and Children Panel and therefore recognised as an expert in this field. In addition, Jacquie is a member of Resolution and has attained specialist accreditation in the areas of domestic abuse and settlement of financial issues for low to middle income families.
Prior to returning to university to study law, Jacquie practiced as a chartered accountant for 15 years, as a financial director in industry and later in practice for a number of years with one of the top global accountancy firms. This background is particularly useful in dealing with complex financial settlements.
Jacquie fully understands a clients legal needs when either dealing with them through public funding via the community legal service or on a private basis.
